A pair of vintage fashion hstory illustrations from 1904. The Edwardian lady on the left is wearing an elaborately ruffled and flounced promenade costume while the Edwardian lady on the right is wearing a simpler, more streamlined walking suit embellished with button and loop closures and swaths of herringbone fabric. Original black and white engravings are from my personal collection of antique La Mode Illustrée magazines.
